USTA Eastern Metro Region Board Announces Winter 2012 Grants

The USTA Eastern Metro Region will award up to $10,000 in grants to local members and organizations this year to promote and develop the growth of tennis. Applicants must be a current USTA Member Organization, or USTA Member, within the Metro Region that has not received a cumulative total of over $5,000 grants from the USTA within the past 12 months. Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded for programs that fall under one of these categories.

►Increase tennis participation

►Support tennis programming

►Foster diversity with both tennis participation and programming

Organizations wishing to apply for a grant must provide the following documentation (preferably on the organization’s letterhead):

►A detailed grant narrative which describes the program and/or initiative that will benefit from the funding; The number of participants and the grant amount being requested must be included along with any other relevant information to support your request.

►A detailed project budget showing annual income and expenses.

►The USTA member organization/USTA member number and membership expiration date.

Grant recipients are expected to update the Metro Region Board on the progress of their program, including any Increased participation.

Requests must be submitted via e-mail as a PDF document to Metrogrant2012@aol.com by midnight on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. Requests received in any other manner will not be reviewed. Grant winners will be notified by Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 with a reception held on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012.
