The 2013 U.S. Open will end in a couple of weeks, but at Centercourt Athletic Club of Marlboro, the tennis season is just beginning. On Monday, Sept. 9, the Club will begin its fall season with a wide range of tennis programs for players of all ages and abilities. On Sunday, Sept. 15, the Club will host a presentation for parents on 10 & Under Tennis and an Open House. The fall programs, which run through Dec. 1, are designed to help players develop their skills and reach their full potential. There are introductory classes for juniors and adults, as well as academies for high performing junior players, and Cardio Tennis, clinics and leagues for adults. Most of the programs only cost $30 per hour-long session.

The presentation on Sept. 15 will be held from noon-2:00 p.m. and will explain to parents how the kid-friendly racquets, balls and courts of 10 & Under Tennis are helping children learn to play and develop a love for the game. It will be led by Jeff Rothstein, regional director of Junior Tennis Player Development at Centercourt. The presentation will be followed by an Open House from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., which will feature tours of the Club, tennis games and prizes, refreshments and registration for the rest of the fall season.

“The start of the school year is a great time to learn tennis,” said Yevgeny Supeko, general manager of CAC of Marlboro. “Whether you’re new to the sport and want to get in shape, or you’re an experienced player looking to take your game to next level, we urge you to contact us or visit the club on September 15 so we can help you reach your goals.”

CAC of Marlboro, which opened in February, is located at 185 Amboy Road and offers five indoor hard courts, a second floor viewing area with plush sofas, a fully equipped gym, and a new multi-sport field. It is the latest of five Centercourt facilities to open in New Jersey and offers the same quality of junior programs that helped Centercourt become one of the United States Tennis Association’s 17 Certified Regional Training Centers (RTCs), working to develop the next generation of American tennis champions. Centercourt’s first club, where professional tennis champions such as Justin Gimelstob trained, is in Chatham, N.J.
