Fordham Men’s Tennis Victorious Over Bucknell

After dropping its first three matches of the spring season, the Fordham Men's Tennis team came away with its first win, a 4-3 decision over Bucknell at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. The win puts Fordham's overall record at 2-5 on the year.
 
The Rams opened the match by taking the doubles point. At second doubles, Alastair Barnes & Mischa Koran defeated Bucknell's Jon DeFrancesch & Scott Bernstein, 6-2, while at third doubles, J.J. Tauil & Max Peara defeated Octavio Canibe & Jordan Lieb, 6-3.

In singles action, Fordham secured the team win with victories at second, third and fourth singles. Matt Najfeld defeated Bucknell's Aidan Lynch, 6-3, 7-5, at second singles, with Barnes taking down Irwin Reibeisen, 6-2, 6-3, at third singles. At the four spot, it was Tauil securing the Fordham win with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Canibe.

Up next for Fordham Men's Tennis team is a match Feb. 23rd when the Rams visit Temple, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
