JMTA’s Loeb Named an ITA 2015 All-American

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the 2015 All-America Teams for Division I men's and women's tennis. USC, UCLA and Virginia each had six different student-athletes earn the distinction to lead all schools. A combined 16 men and women were named to the All-America teams in both singles and doubles (10 men and six women).

Ossining, N.Y.'s Jamie Loeb, who trains at John McEnroe Tennis Academy, made the women's team representing North Carolina. Two other local products, Wake Forest freshman Noah Rubin from Rockville Centre, N.Y., who also trains at JMTA, was named to the men's team, while Oyster Bay, N.Y.'s Julia Elbaba, who plays for Virginia was named to the women's team. 

A player must meet any of the following criteria to earn ITA All-America honors:

►Singles: Top 16 seed in NCAA Singles Championship; reach the Round of 16 in NCAA Singles Championship; finish in the Top 20 of final Oracle/ITA National Singles Rankings

►Doubles: Top eight seed in NCAA Doubles Championship; reach the quarterfinals in the NCAA Doubles Championship; finish in the Top 10 of final Oracle/ITA National Doubles Rankings
