Sportime and the John McEnroe Tennis Academy will be hosting scholarship tryouts at its Long Island Annex in Syosset, N.Y. on Saturday, June 17 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Sportime Syosset.

Players ages 6-16 are invited to come participate in this open tryout where they will have the opportunity to earn a full scholarship to the JMTA Annex in Sportime Syosset for the 2017-2018 season.

JMTA is looking for the most talented and highly motivated young athletes in the New York area and beyond, and the tryouts include technical and tactical player assessments as well as athletic assessments. Proper tennis attire, including footwear, is required, and players will have access to locker room and shower facilities, as well as professional stringing services.

"The tryout has become a ‘can’t-miss’ event for aspiring young tennis players and athletes at various skill levels," said JMTA Co-Director Lawrence Kleger. “It’s part of our mission to make tennis available to any talented player, regardless of financial means. We’re looking forward to a great day and an opportunity to meet new talented athletes.”
