Women’s Tennis Coaches Association to Host Conference in NYC

The Women’s Tennis Coaches Association (WTCA), in partnership with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), will host a conference dedicated specifically to coaching female players. The WTCA Conference will be held in New York City, Aug. 26-27, 2017. Founded in 2015, WTCA is a professional global organization formed solely in support of coaches working with female players.

Themed “The Art and Science of Coaching Female Players,” the confirmed speaker lineup of Grand Slam champions, medical advisors and internationally heralded tennis experts includes Judy Murray, Mary Pierce, Dr. Mark Kovacs, Craig O’Shannessy, Dr. Erin Boynton, Brenda Schultz McCarthy, Casey Dellacqua, Mike Barrell, David Weck, Joanna Golden, Dr. Michelle Cleere, Emma Doyle, Giselle Martin, Johan Kriek, Steve Keller, Ann Grossman Wunderlich and Sarah Stone.

PTR has also welcomed the WTCA as a Corporate Member of the organization.

The global hub for coaching women’s tennis, the mission of WTCA is to keep more girls in tennis by advancing the coaching of female players across the sport. A positive side effect is to create more opportunities for women to coach high performance female players. With the help of experts in the fields of medicine, coaching and playing, the association is driven to assist coaches. Using captivating instructional videos, nurturing mentorship programs, motivating conferences, and educational coaching courses, the WTCA plans on aiding passionate coaches in order to enhance the world of women’s tennis.
