SI Tech Edges Tottenville To Remain Undefeated

In a matchup between the two top teams in Staten Island’s “A” Division, McKee/Staten Island Tech defeated Tottenville 3-2 to improve to 9-0 on the season.

It was the doubles tandems for SI Tech that led the way on Monday afternoon. Tottenville would win the first two singles flights, as Philip Belmatch edged Christopher Kolesnik 11-9 at first singles and Joseph Natalov defeated Mark Karpovas 10-4 to give Tottenville the early lead.

But Jeffrey Ly would defeat Joshua Khenkin 10-6 at third singles, and then SI Tech would win the two doubles flights to clinch the victory. Brian Tyutyunik and Eden Ksendzovsky beat Alan Sprikut and David Goldberg 10-5 at the first doubles spot, and Kamran Parsa and Sean Vayser edged Justin Gorelik and Kevin Villarroel 11-9 to clinch the SI Tech victory.
