Hunter Edges Stuyvesant in League A3

The Hunter Hawks won its second straight match on Wednesday, downing Stuyvesant 3-2 in a tightly-contested League A3 matchup.

The Hawks were led by its doubles play, winning both the first and second doubles matches. Clara Lee and Isabella Sifuentes defeated Joanne Chui and Karina Ionkina 8-5 in the first doubles flight, and Sophie Edelman and Tiffany Chen added a 10-5 second doubles win over Mia Gindis and Stephanie Hwang.

The third victory would come from first singles, as Sabrina Adams moved past Marie Mich Ivantechenko 10-4 to lock up the Hunter victory.

The win moves the Hawks to 3-1 on the season, while Stuyvesant drops to 2-3.
