Time to Rally: The Power of Visualization

Did you know that many studies indicate that you can develop and improve tennis movements simply by thinking about them? It’s called Visualization and it’s powerful.

Close your eyes and picture yourself hitting a serve. Breathe, bounce the ball and feel it as if your were actually performing the movement. Start your take back, and notice the pressure of your hand on the racket, the force of impact with the ball and your weight shift after the hit.

Picture seeing the ball landing where you would like it to go. The greater the detail, the better.  It’s more difficult than you might think, and as you practice this technique you will improve.

Or you can spend your time posting videos on social media of yourself seeing how many times in a row you can bounce toilet paper off of your racket…
