It seems obvious that we should try to repeat a successful point in a tennis match. In the heat of the match, this might not be the first thought that comes to mind.

Often, our tendency is to panic or worry about the points that we lose. We try to prevent those from happening again. It is much more effective to highlight the good points and patterns and do your best to replicate them.

This is a great thought to use on break points, set points, and during tiebreakers. The best players are masters at this tactic and most of the time it is the reason they come through in the tight situations.

Remind yourself of the good points you have played, choose one, and try to make it happen again.
